The Pazo de Villarei is a Spirit called Orujo in Galicia, with 52% Alc., elaborated by HGA winery in the Spanish area of Pontevedra province, in Galicia. It’s elaborated from Albariño grape Skins (the product remaining after winemaking) coming from vineyards placed on sandy soils between 100 and 300 m over sea level and under a tempered climate. The Pazo de Villarei is obtained from Albariño grape skins distillation and later bottled.
VIEW: Transparent spirit, shiny and with light hints, dense and with a small and slow drop tear.
NOSE: Dense scent, with soft white fruit balsamic hints and an alcoholic hint.
TASTE: Inside the mouth, the Pazo de Villarei offers a really good integrated alcohol, dense, balsamic, a little bit and a fruity retro-nose that reminds the grape that it is made from.
The Pazo de Villarei is a high alcohol degree spirit and powerful flavour. It’s highly advisable to serve it cold, but not frozen, between 6-8 ºC to be enjoyed with sweet desserts, with fruit or as a grand finalé of a good meal.
